Fending off Windows 10 - the story continues
I've just got the latest round of W7 updates.
I'm happy with all the security updates and the Malicious Software Removal Tool.
This keeps coming back despite being hidden every time. It's totally Windows 10 related so I have simply hidden and unchecked it.
This allows applications written for the Windows 10 version of Universal C Runtime to work with Windows 7. I'm OK with that.
This one seems entirely related to Windows Server 2008 and 2012. I'm not sure why it shows up for my W7 SP1 systems, and I've hidden and unchecked it.
Microsoft say "This update contains some improvements to Windows Update Client in Windows 7 SP1 and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1."
Despite reading the InfoWorld article here:
I can't work out if I need this or not. So I've hidden and unchecked it because I no longer trust Microsoft.
