    Script problems

I am having a lot of problems with long running scripts that freeze the pc. It happens most of the time no particular site. Using latest Firefox version because to many problems with IE 11. Of course all the Fierfox fixes don't work. The fixes I have seen on line are for stopping the script not responding pop up. They don't seem to address the cause. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes. I did three things which largely fixed the problem for me, although there is still the occasional slow website.
    1. I installed AdBlock.
    2. I installed NoScript.
    3. I uninstalled Flash.

If you uninstall Flash, there will be the occasional video you won't be able to watch. So you may not want to do that one. But I definitely recommend that you install AdBlock and NoScript. (Both are free programs.)

NoScript is only for Firefox, so you're good there.

I am back with an update. I found "no script" to be a pain to use. Very inconvenient for my personal use. I found this video on U-tube to work better, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zq6APNNIDv0. It provides Firefox settings to speed up loading. So far so good. Much better.
