    TransferSpreadsheet (Access2000)

    Im running a database1 from another database2.
    What Im trying to do is TransferSpreadsheet from a table in database2 by running the code from database1.
    if Is it possible to transfer spreadsheet this way???
    Some thing like this: DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet acExport, 5, "Microsoft Access", "C:TradarTradar.mde", acTable, "SFMTradeSource", strFilename, False, ""
    but this gives me error messages. PLEASE please <img src=/S/help.gif border=0 alt=help width=23 height=15> me.

    I would link the tables form database2 in the database1 and then do the export

    Hi,
    I confess I've never tried to do it but I very much doubt you can achieve that using TransferSpreadsheet (unless you link the tables as Francois suggested. Why can't you do that, if you don't mind me asking?)
    You would be better off using automation to open the second database, extract the recordset you need, open Excel and paste the recordset into a new workbook (or an existing one).
