    wdDialogFile Open (Office 2000)

This is what I'm doing right now: ChangeFileOpenDirectory "T:QUALSYSSFTY8510WPCILworking converted" Dialogs(wdDialogFileOpen).Show, this command line only allows me to choose one file from the directory. Does anyone know how what to add to this so I can do a multiple select and open? Thanks

This will allow you to open multiple files: CommandBars.FindControl(ID:=23, Visible:=False).Execute

This sounds like a great workaround for the limitation of the wdDialogFileOpen method, but I'm guessing that all this will let you do is open files - if you needed to return the names of the opened files ('cause you needed to do something further with them) then it would seem you'd still be out of luck....
(actually, maybe sandwiching some sort of Documents.Count code on either side of this might be a way to do this, hmm.....)

You are absolutely right, I can't do anything with this work around than select multiple files. For the porpose of this macro that's good enough.

    Thanks

Thanks Klaus! <img src=/S/bravo.gif border=0 alt=bravo width=16 height=30> - that's along the lines I had in mind - just saved me the trouble of figuring out how to do it!
