No search box found in command prompt to change font size

Have instructions to change font size in command prompt (Admin) but do not see the SEARCH box it claims I should type "command" into. Looked in top left menu click button output and there just isn't any such box in the title bar or in screen task bar at the bottom.
Need some assistance? The font is so small my eyelash covers it. Thanks

Search should be next to the start button in the taskbar. click on search and type CMD into it and when you see it, right click it and choose run as administrator.

    Spark,

It should look vaguely like this:
    W10Search.PNG

I say vaguely because I have classic shell installed thus the Shell vs the standard windows menu icon and I have Cortana turned off thus the Search Windows.

When you type CMD in the box you should get a screen like this:
    searchCMD.PNG

Right click on windows logo at bottom left. Select Command prompt or Command prompt admin as required (you can set them differently). Right- Click on command prompt logo top left of window and select properties. Change to taste. Is this what you're after?

Welllll !!! It still does NOT work. I took the suggestion and followed it as I show below but the change does NOT take effect.
Steps to change font and font size in Windows 10 Command Prompt:
Step 1: Find the Command Prompt file via:
Right-click Windows logo (lower left corner),
    Right-click Search,
Type: "command" in the white search box,
Right-click "Command Prompt" in the result,
Click "Open file location" on the menu.
Right-click "Command Prompt" in the "Windows System" folder,
    Click Properties to continue.

Step 2: Changing font and font size:
In the Command Prompt Properties window,
    Click Font,
Choose a new font and/or font size,
    Click OK.

Can anyone suggest why? OR is this another M$ boondoggle?

But you haven't followed my instructions - and they work. I've followed your instructions and as you have found they don't work (don't know why).
