    Another Win 7 update problem

I've got a Win 7 Pro PC that was up to date with updates as of 4/7. When I tried to download and install the updates from 4/14 this morning, I can't get past the downloading screen. It just stays at 0%. I let it run for 90 minutes and nothing happened so I stopped it. Tried again about 2 hours later and the same thing happened.

Just before I tried to update this machine, I ran 4/14 updates for a Win 7 Home Premium PC and had no problems at all. Both PC's are 64 bit machines.

Tried some searches but haven't found too much about problems with downloading. I'm open to ideas.

when running Updates, id try downloading in smaller groups, especially the updates that are larger in size. see how updates are controlled and allowed to be downloaded. read the page in this link

I have tried only installing a couple of the smaller updates but it still just hangs in the download mode showing 0%m even after 90 minutes. I'll take a look at the SURT

Started up Windows Update again around 6 PM to download and install the 4/14 updates, walked in the kitchen to eat supper. When I came back to the PC about 15 minutes the downloads and installation was done and PC was waiting on a restart. I didn't do a thing different from when I tried to do this in the AM.

Go figure!! Thanks for the suggestions though.
