Question Q re reset win 10

I upgraded from Win 8.1 to Win 10. If I reset the operating system, what will happen? Will it go back to 8.1?

It will not go back to Win8.1. It will reset Win10.

    Bill,

    I'd say that depends!

If you use the PC Makers reset/recovery procedures (like F11 on Dells) you'll revert to 8.1 as that is what is stored in the manufacturer's recovery partition.

If you use Windows Reset feature you'll remain on Windows 10.
