    Gmail slowed to useless

Since Forum is always so helpful,I dare to pass this new problem by the experts viewing and advising us who are much less savvy.
I always used Google Chrome as my default browser and gmail was always great to use on my Win 7 Home Prem.(34).The one before the latest update to Chrome(version 50,the first update)changed this. Now my gmail is so slow, that it is completely useless. The little round circle keeps moving.and everything is just stagnant.INTERESTINGLY,when I try FIREFOX viewing the same gmail,IT WORKS AS WELL,AS CHROME USED TO WORK BEFORE.Even trying to compose an email, the letters appear with a delay, which is bothersome, when one needs to correct and error.
Does anyone have the same experience?Or more importantly,is there a solution?
    Thank you!

My Chrome is at ver. 50 and so far I don't see any difference in speed on chrome or gmail on W7 Pro. Have you tried help in the settings to see if there is any mention of problems with a slowdown?

Yes,but to no avail. What I chose is the easy way out.I use Firefox to open my gmail for now and hope that some time later the problem will resolve itself(or G.resolves it of course).Thank you for your suggestion though!

No,I have not.For now,I just try to put up with slowness,or if I lose patience, will just go over to Firefox.I am reluctant to make the step you ask about, because I am not savvy enough and know not what it may result.Easier:Firefox.
