    Need upgraded Win10 advice

    Computer: Gateway SX2110G Win8 (x64) desktop upgraded to Win 8.1 (x64) upgraded to Win10 (x64)
--- This computer was upgraded to Win10 on Tue 4/26/16 and Iím going to have some questions on some items.
--- The computer belongs to my brother who got it from a friend who doesnít want it anymore: sheís not a computer person and doesnít want to bother with it.
The method used to upgrade to Win10 was to follow up on a screenshot that reads
--- Upgrade to Windows 10. Upgrading to Windows 10 is free for a limited time.

I have run Belarc and it doesnít recognize the OS as being Win10: it reports the OS as Win 8.1
However in the computers About settings, it is recorded as Windows 10
--- How do I follow up on why or whatís going on?

Her user account is the original Admin account and is password protected but is not a Microsoft account.
I created an Admin account for my brother when the OS was Win 8.1 and it is not password protected.
--- It did carry over into the Win10 upgrade

Once the computer was upgraded to Win10, On both the original Admin account and my brotherís Admin account, I un-hid the Libraries so documents are stored in the Libraries Ė Documents folders
--- But then I noticed what looks like an issue to me.
In the original Admin account, the Properties & Locations are
    --- Properties C:\Users\She
    --- Location: C:\Users\She\Documents
--- She represents the original ownerís user name and that information looks ok to me

In my brotherís Admin account, the Properties & Locations are
    --- Properties C:\Users\TEMP
    --- Location: C:\Users\ TEMP\Documents
--- That doesnít look right to me as I suspect my brothers user name should be in place of TEMP.
    How do I correct that?

I was going to delete my brothers account and then recreate his account but I donít know what Iíd be getting into. Is it worth considering?
--- He doesn't have any data to save at this time.

I also was going to consider deleting the original Admin account but Iím leery that would lead to some issues since the original setup includes the original users Admin account.
--- Is there a way to do a Win10 fresh install so that my brother is the only user as if he was the original user?

Now it's been upgraded (or even if it hasn't), why don't you just do a clean install using this method?

Make a note of hardware first in case you need to download/install drivers for devices not found automatically.

    Hope this helps...

Clean install as above, but first get with your brother to ascertain what can reasonably be salvaged in terms of applications.
As to whether or not you are actually running WX, load the system page.
    DRIVE IMAGING
Invest a little time and energy in a well thought out BACKUP regimen and you will have minimal down time, and headache.

Build your own system; get everything you want and nothing you don't.
    Latest Build:
    ASUS X99 Deluxe, Core i7-5960X, Corsair Hydro H100i, Plextor M6e 256GB M.2 SSD, Corsair DOMINATOR Platinum 32GB DDR4@2666, W8.1 64 bit,
EVGA GTX980, Seasonic PLATINUM-1000W PSU, MountainMods U2-UFO Case, and 7 other internal drives.

Do you have the latest version of Belarc Advisor as I believe earlier versions had some problems with Win 10 in not reporting correctly.

"Do you have the latest version of Belarc Advisor "
--- Wow how did you know that?
--- Belarc was using version 8.4, now it's using version 8.5c and it does report the OS as Win10 with the correct build

I really like the lean install link (thank you very much): I hope my brother will

I think the clue was when you said Belarc wasn't reporting that you had Win 10

My brother didn’t go for the Clean Install.
Even though his friend doesn’t want to figure out anything on the computer she still comes over to read her email.
But there is a successful outcome for my brothers TEMP account.
I found this article and it worked out excellently
