    Outlook Export - Import (2000)

I am having problems importing & exporting - At my office I am trying to export out 3 different Contact files - One is files with vendors, 2nd is a file of business and 3rd a files of personnel to my home laptop computer. Both are running Office 2000. I have tried exporting each of the files individually to a floppy disk. At first on the floppy after importing a file called backup.pst appeared. Then while exporting I changed the name of the files on the original files, each acted as thought it was going to work. On both of those, and on both the export and import the program came up saying that it was importing and exporting, and both the A drive and the C drive was active, however I can't find any of the files on the hard drive. I even did a search for any pst. files and could not find them. Please <img src=/S/help.gif border=0 alt=help width=23 height=15>! I followed the instructions exactly. Can anybody give me very specific instructions or tell me what I am doing wrong. Thanks in Advance.

Re: Outlook Export - Import (2000)

Are you exporting these items to a PST file each time? My guess is that if you accepted the default filename (BACKUP.PST) it was overwritten each time. Try changing the file name to something different - i.e. vendors.pst, and so on. You should end up with three different files.

Beware....if all of these originate in the same folder in Outlook, you will get that folder's contents - and not a partial listing.
