    Autocorrect - multiline entires (2002)

Is there a way to include carriage return characters in an AutoCorrect entry? I know I can use AutoText instead, but I really want to make this entry available in Outlook without using WordMail, so it has to be AutoCorrect, Im afraid!

Wow. I just found out how to do this. Type in the multi-line text first in a Word document. Then select it, and select tools-autocorrect options. Voila! If you uncheck the formatted text box, you'll see a line showing asterisks in place of CRs.

    Hi Ray:
Glad you found a solution. Just FYI, if you want to make sure that you don't end up with a space at the end of your AutoText entry, make sure the "Replace" box entry, ends with a ")".

    i.e. If you want:
rb to autocorrect to Ray Blake (admittedly not as long as Phil Rabichow <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>) with no space after "Blake", use:
    rb)

That's because a ")" will cause an autotext correction, just like a space, but you can't use a space at the end of autocorrect name.
