    Build 14352 would not activate

I saw an update _(Insider) for Build 14352 which I downloaded (ISO) and then clean installed. It wouldn't run because it said it couldn't find an activation key.

Now, I get that this isn't the Insider forum, but there are some really current users on this board, and my question is why did or does this build delete or destroy the activation key so that it won't run on its own?

I had to go back to an earlier build (backup) and restore it and so now here I am. Should I not install the new build, or...?

I just went back and tried running 14352 from inside 14332, but it wouldn't run without a product key. So there obviously is some problem here or change in policy.

It sounds like you are not installing same version. You need to upgrade Pro to Pro, or Home to Home. If you try to go Pro to Home, or Home to Pro, it will need a product key, and won't activate.

That was it. I went back and started over, and this time all was fine.

    Thanks,
    Chuck
