    Repairing a Win 10 install

I've been having trouble with my Windows 10 Start Button and Cortana Search. I ran the Windows troubleshooter and got the following error message:

"Microsoft.Windows.ShellExperienceHost" and "Microsoft.Windows.Cortana" applications need to be installed correctly.

So how can I fix this? Do I need to refresh my Windows install? How would I go about it?

Before refresh Windows see if How to Repair Windows 10 Image using DISM or How to Run SFC Command to Repair System Files in Windows 10 help.

If you still need to refresh your system make sure you have a backup of everything you want to preserve. Then see How to Do a Repair Install of Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade.
