    Unblock Publisher

Today I downloaded the latest driver for a Samsung laser printer in the hopes that it just might work reliably wirelessly. When I clicked to install the driver a window popped telling me that I must unblock the publisher. Nothing else to check other than clicking a link to tell you how to unblock a publisher which, in turn, took me to a MS page that had nothing to do with the same. A google search hasn't been helpful.

Any ideas on how to achieve this?

That is a good point but, if MS is going to have a link claiming that it will tell you how to unblock it should actually do that. Good customer service is like finding a unicorn these days.

Just a note: The problem I see with the search is that using Publisher made it think the question was about Microsoft Publisher, part of Microsoft Office. Maybe using publisher instead would have returned different results? A major issue with Windows and computing in general is the need for precision, accuracy in terms used.

You may have misunderstood. The link I was referring to is what came up when I doubleclicked on the executable Samsung driver. The link was contained in the message which you can see on the screenshot I attached.

Is it a certain version of Win 10 that this happens on?

I checked the article in post 2 (link) and at least one of the programs people were having problems with installed OK on my Win 10.

To check quickly, left-click the Windows 10 Start Button, type "winver" (without quote marks) and press the Enter key.

At the time of my posting both the standard Windows 10 Home, and Windows 10 Pro, tells me that I'm running Windows 10 "version 1511 (OS Build 10586.318)".
However that's subject to change along about the second Tuesday of each month, or perhaps whenever Microsoft deems fit(?).
