    1000 processors on a chip.

    ...and it will probably still take 20 or more seconds to boot up a Windows OS. lol

    Technologies like this requires a complete re-think when it comes to programs and even OSs. Hopefully the eggheads will allow all of us to have supercomputers to run our graphic filters soon enough.

    Maybe this new technology will get us closer to 128-bit processing?

    I understand that those processors are small and not very powerful. They appear to be trying the "lots of little workers" processor design model.

    It's an interesting idea and it has been tried before too. The problem has always been, our ability to write software for the parallel model is somewhat limited. And for the legacy software, some of that will never be rewritten. Still I applaud the attempt.
