Corrupting Task Scheduler if you Revert to Win7

Just a FYI post if anyone has this same issue.

Recently moved back to Win7 from a Win10 trial and found that a lot of my scheduled tasks had stopped working. When I looked at the individual tasks they seemed to have gone. I had over 57 of them broken. After a bit of googling it seems the reversion process corrupts the registry entries for you tasks. There is a fairly complicated manual method of repairing however I found this site and used the free utility provided. Read the 'how to' first as the obvious way to use it will fix things in most cases but there is a more effective way of using the utility that isn't just 'select and push repair button'.

The reason I reverted was that a couple of utilities I had (some old fingerprint software) had stopped working and I was finding it a bit annoying. There just didn't seem to be anything better in Win10 to Win7 for me.

Many thanks for this post and the link. Very useful information, especially as most people who revert won't even be aware of this issue.
