    updating to 10

    I am trying to update to windows 10 but all I am getting is "starting download" and a circle of moving dots it has been doing this for about 2 hours now is this normal is there anyway to get 10 on a disc

    The update is over 3GB so it won't be fast.
    You can use the Media Creation Tool to create an update on USB - you need > 4GB USB.

    1. Seems to me you are trying to upgrade using Windows Update.
    If so, what OS are you upgrading from ? Win 7 SP1 or Win 8.1 ?

    2. As already advised by Paul T, it is preferable and ,in my opinion, more reliable to download an iso file and use it to do the upgrade.
    You have been given the link to Media Creation Tool.
    Here is another source to download the iso...... Tech Bench.
    The choice is yours.

    Thanks for the help used the media creation tool to download to a usb
