    Android OS data transfer

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 cellphone that runs on Android OS. The screen on the phone recently died and have no visual, but the phone still works.
My cell service said they cannot transfer calendar or contact settings unless they can see the “Settings” app on the phone.
Is there any way I could download these using a USB mini cable from the defective phone to an android tablet or Windows 10 pc? I could then possible transfer to my new Samsung Galaxy S4 without losing data. Or if not transferable at least read from downloaded files to recreate onto my new phone.
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Richard Spring

Well I finally found a solution to my phone problem.
Too old phone and new phone to a local store that specialized in transferring data. For $45 they move contacts and photos, but could not get the calendar data.
    Well worth the price.

Just because you don't know where you are going doesn't mean any road will get you there.
