    Adguard 6.0

Hello to all I need a way to remove Adguard 6.0 I took it out to do something and evidently didn't get it all out and now cant reinstall it. Please it must be a fairly simple method as I am not very tech savy. Thank you ahead of time.

Download FreeFixer and that will find any remnants where you can check the boxes for deletion.

    I assume that worked ?

Just as a matter of interest, what does Adguard do and why did you uninstall it ?

I'm looking for a replacement for AdblockPlus as it has been crashing IE and I've had to uninstall it.

To be honest with you I don't know I found a tool from Adguard that helped me. It gets rid of the ads that seem to be everywhere that I personally dislike very much. I took it out by mistake as I said I don't know very much. I received it as a gift or promotion from EMSISOFT and like it very much for whatever my opinion is worth. Try it I bet you will like it I know I like it more than Adblock. Thank you again for you assistance.

Its only like $20,00 for a computer and like $30.00 to add a phone. Give me a contact and I will buy it for a gift for your help.

Thank you for your very kind and generous offer - but it's okay.

It's just that I have an aversion to paying for any programs when there are freebie equivalents that can do the job.

The exception to that is that I use Norton Security.

I can get by without an add blocker - it's just the annoyance of having to wait for the adds to load before you can scroll a page or go from thread to thread on here.

I may yet give AdblockPlus another go.

I've been using AdBlockPlus in IE11 for more than 12 months now and have not had any problems with it.

Are you sure the problems you are having w/ IE crashing are caused by ABP?

Have you tried going to "Control Panel\Internet Options\Advanced" and "reset..." Internet Explorer's settings to defaults?

Have you tried opening affected webpages w/ IE after going to "Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\Internet Explorer (No Add-ons)"?

Edit: during the past twelve months or more I have found AdBlockPlus to be very effective blocking unwanted ads on webpages, and have had very few problems w/ ABP blocking necessary/wanted pop-ups. Whenever a pop-up dialog has been intercepted by ABP I have had the options to allow/disallow.

Oh, I appreciated your offer and while I've personally provided for others on the forum, that is what the Thanks button is for, which you have already used

I read that to also mean: everyone has their own hardware and software preferences. You, CowboyPhil are a kind and gracious person, I hope to meet more like you across The 'Net!
