Think you are just luck on the lack of expiration date. Mine has one. The removal of the watermark is explained in the blog post announcement.

There are others who do not have expiry date on this new build.
    I'm not the only one.

The admin has answered the "watermark" part.
Why did you post a link to your thread which does NOT answer my other question, namely why no expiry date ?

I never said you were the only one without an expiration date. If I suggested that I apologize. It seems as though Microsoft is experimenting.

No, no. I did not mean to imply anything other than to state the fact that there are others who do not have the expiry date. That's all.

You did not say anything that I would consider offending. Not at all.

It's likely my choice of words needs refinement.

No problem. English is supposed to be my first language but sometimes I wonder.

One person speculates that we are "testing" the Anniversary edition.
    Hence no expiry date.

Have you noticed the difference in the watermark you posted ?

    1. It does not mention Insider Preview.
    2. It does not mention Evaluation Copy.

If you go to Settings > Update & Security > Activation > on the right side under Edition, you will see just Windows 10 Pro. No more mention of Insider Preview.

The following screenshot is taken from my 14383.............

No, it's just a simple Registry change. I do it because I have 3 Windows computers and 1 Linux computer on a 4-port KVM, helps me keep track of what I'm on without having to create a Wallpaper image with the version number.

Got this link from Woody's site and there is info on build 14383:

    https://blogs.windows.com/windowsexp...pc-and-mobile/

In build news: today we are releasing Build 14383 for both PC and Mobile to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. On PC, you will notice a few things are different with this build. For example, the desktop watermark is now gone. This is because we’re beginning to check in final code in preparation for releasing the Windows 10 Anniversary Update to customers on August 2nd. But we’re not finished yet and will have more builds to release to Windows Insiders between now and then. Remember you guys play a big role in helping us decide which are the final *final* bits that we ship globally.
