Windows 10 and Microsoft Surface Subscription Options

Microsoft has taken the next steps toward making everything Microsoft a subscription service - at least in the enterprise.

P.S. Couldn't figure out where to post this since it fits more than one topic.

In enterprises, a Windows Enterprise SKU is not always used. Nor is it required.

This strikes me as a variation on Volume Licensing/Software Assurance.

This seems to be a next step to allow vendors to combines Windows, Office, Cloud, and hardware into a single subscription. Here's another take on it:

I understand that. It is the direction Microsoft would like enterprises to go as there is a more predictable income stream. It may eventually migrate towards the end user too.
