    Changing Access 2013 "Find" settings

I know I have changed these defaults before but have recently had to re-install Office 2013, so the "Find" box defaults are back to MS values. I tried searching here and on the web but haven't found how to do this of 2013.

I want to do things such as set the "Look In" field to "Current Document" & the "Match" to "Any Part of Field".

I looked in File/Options but didn't see anything there....can someone point me in the right direction to change these defaults?

    Many thanks,

    Kevin

Try File/options/client settings. Go to default find/replace and select General search. This is A2016 so it might be slightly different in 2013.

You may have to restart the database to set the default

Now to put it back to my preferred settings!

Great.....I looked at client settings but must have missed the "General Search" radio button. That did the trick.

Glad to have helped. Mind you, I had to try it out to confirm that's what it was!
