Question Windows 10 Mystery Icon Challenge!

    Hi,

I know this is a long shot, but does anyone here recognize the icon pointed to by a red arrow in the first photo below? For reference, I've identified some of the other icons as Google Chrome, Adobe Acrobat & Photoshop (I believe), and Oracle VM Virtualbox (right below the mystery icon), the Recycle Bin (duh) and McAfee Antivirus. My apologies if I've posted in the wrong forum (and if so, are there any forums out there that might specialize in this sort of identification)? For what it's worth I believe it is some sort of automation or scripting application, and the icon appears to be some sort of robot. I will Paypal $25.00 to anyone who can positively identify this icon. I believe there is just enough detail that anyone who's previously seen this particular icon might recognize it.

*This is the only photo I have to work off of, I do not have any access to the actual machines pictured.*

    Thanks!

Edit: I've attached the full photo below for context. I believe the mystery icon is also on the other desktops although in a different position:

Edit 2: PS, any idea what the two bottom left icons are in the topmost picture?

The photos are too blurry for me to tell what anything is other than the Adobe icons. Try using the snipping tool for a screenshot.

You're correct, these are quite difficult to identify. Unfortunately this is the only photograph I have to work off of and I already took a snippet of the bottom photo (of the lower right laptop screen) and straightened it out & enlarged it. That's what you see in the top photo.

    Thanks for taking a look!

    Moonshine,

thank you for the video on that. I see what you're saying, however the problem is (and I should have been more specific about this in my original post), I don't have access to any of the laptops or screens in question, so I can't grab a screenshot from the actual computer. All I have is that one photo and the best I can do is attempt to magnify it but then it gets quite blurry. My belief is that there is just enough detail to where someone might be able to identify it if it's a common enough program. I do really appreciate your help though!

Do you remember what is written underneath it - that might be a clue ?

    Northstar,

Why don't you click open the icon and see what shows up ?
Then take a screenshot or 2 and post back.

    @davidhk
He can't click on it, please re-read his post #5.
My guess is that a "friend" sent the blurry pic and is asking Northstar to see if he can find out what it is.

Might be some kind of Messenger, the icon looks about right. Image search on messenger?

I'm guessing that Northstar is a secret agent and he's trying to figure out what the bad guys are "up to"(?). That might account for why he couldn't get close enough to get a good photograph. (Whoever he works for apparently issues ineffective cameras!)

All, sorry I've been away for a few days but I do appreciate all of your responses and theories! satrow, I will give your suggestion a try, I do agree it kind of looks like a messenger style app as well. As of now however the bounty still stands to be claimed.

    Have you tried looking HERE?

Give it time to load, and remember there are other sources too numerous to mention.
