    Can't delete "Ghost" file

I have a file with 0 bytes I can't seem to be able to delete.
It has no file extension, and I can't add one because the file 'doesn't exist'.
But it is there... yet it doesn't?
I made my way into DOS and tried to do a chkdsk thinking it might clear it, but not.
OneDrive keeps trying to sync it, but since it "doesn't exist" I get a error.

    Any ideas?

    1. Where is that ghost file ?
    At the desktop ?
In one of the File Explorer folders ?

    2. Please post a screenshot.

    Thank you.

    Unlocker should shift it.

    http://filehippo.com/download_unlocker/

Your AV may flag it, but its safe to install.

So you are aware, this version of Unlocker from FileHippo comes bundled with a PUP. Make sure you do not do a 'Quick (Recommended)' install - unless you like having your browser hijacked...

    Hope this helps...

    And there it goes...
Not only is my 'ghost' file not really there, but now it really isn't there!
Thanks much Callimanco & Davidhk for your help.

I recommend Unchecky to help keep PUPs in kennels.

PS that guy RaMMichael writes some lovely software--I use his Textify also, another 'does one job very well' without bloat app.
