save web page as MHT for archive

For years I've saved web pages as MHT from IE when I want to archive a page. Now it looks like Edge may not recognize MHT or be able to decode them. I've also read that IE is going away being replaced by Edge in Win 10. Will I still be able to open my archived web pages with some browser? I've also never checked but I'm a little suspicious that the images saved inside the MHT may not actually be the ones used by IE when I reopen the MHT. I see too many references to the original image URLs in the html and that makes me wonder.

    Thanks,
    LJB

I do not know about MSIE but for FireFox check out :
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/fir...rchive-format/
    and
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/unmht/

    also check out https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MHTML#MHT_viewers

IMHO Edge is misnamed, it should be , maybee Precipice, as in a crumbling cliff overlooking Purgatory......

Wow, I had no idea MHTML (*.MHT) wasn't some Microsoft proprietary format or that other browser might support it. Thanks,
