Move share folders wth all the permissions

Hello everybody. I have Server 2008 R2. We using it as file Server only. There is no domain - network setup as workgroup and no AD . I need to move all shares with permissions from small hard drive to a much bigger, but leave OS on small drive. Is there safe way to do it? Thank you for any help

    That article is poor IMO.

    My version.
Make a full (image) backup of the server.

    1. Server 2008 already has Robocopy installed. Don't download anything.
    2. Open Command Prompt as admin. Right click in the Windows flag and select "Command Prompt (Admin)".
    3. List the shares. Type: net share >%tmp%\shares.txt
    4. Open the share details to Notepad. Type: notepad %tmp%\shares.txt
    5. Stop Lan Manager - this will prevent the server sharing anything. Type: net stop lanmanserver
    6. Move the files using Robocopy. See this post for details.
    7. Edit the Registry key "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Servi ces\LanmanServer\Shares". See this page for details.
    8. Restart Lanman Server. Type: net start lanmanserver
    9. Check the shares have moved - compare them to the copy in Notepad. Type: net share
    10. Reboot the server.

    cheers, Paul
