How can I stop this from happening?

I'm using Pale Moon (and sometimes Firefox) browsers, and occasionally I come across sites that have videos embedded. Sometimes these videos start automatically (maybe when I just pass the cursor over them). I find this to be both distracting and annoying.
Is there anything I can do to prevent these videos from autonomously starting?

The following should work for both Pale Moon and Firefox to change the autoplaying of HTML5 video:

    1. Open a new tab.
    2. Enter about:config in the address bar.
    3. Confirm that you will be careful if a first-time message is displayed:

    4. Use search to find media.autoplay.enabled:

    5. Double-click on the preference to set it to false.
    6. Close the tab.

    That should be it.

    Hope this helps...

Thank you, Rick. I've made the changes that you've suggested. Time will tell if that does the trick.

    Hi, me again!
Well, the suggested fix doesn't work.
    Any other suggestions?

Haven't paid much attention to which site (it happens on more than one), but next time it occurs, I'll post back.
