Transfer Word 2010 settings on W7 to Word 365 on W10

Is there a protocol to configure Word 365 on a W10 laptop to mirror the settings of my Word 2010 on a W7 desktop?

    Briefly, no.
See Key Data files locations in Word.

Some of your settings are likely to be in your normal template.
BTW, be aware in your upgrade that Word 2016/365 still does not have an effective grammar checker.

Thankyou Charles for a treasure trove of useful info. I will proceed on the (naive?) assumption that I need to copy the W7 files to corresponding locations in W10 and all will be well...

Close. The normal.dotm from Word 365 may not work well in Word 2010.
I store many of my settings in custom templates, mostly used as Add-Ins. It allows easy transfer of those customizations.
See Templates in Microsoft Word - Global Templates to get an idea of the types customizations you can store in such templates.
