    Status Bar-- section number pagination

Document has first page header with '0' page number, second page begins with '1.' Status bar shows this as page 2. In other words, it adds first page to page cursor is on, so page 2 will show as page 3, etc.)

Is there a way to have Status Bar reflect my numbering?

    Thank you much.

No. The page # in the status bar reflects the raw page #, not whatever a field or numbering setting might display. If you need to see that, you could add a PAGE field to the document header and/or footer.

I'm not sure which version of Word you are using. You can select display of the formatted page number.

First page number shown (Page 1) is the formatted page number. The second one is the raw number (Page 2 of 2). I usually have both of them turned on.

My bad: the formatted page # does display the 'adjusted' page # (provided those #s are created via the 'starting from' tools and not by a field calculation); it's the 'Page x of y' display that doesn't display the 'adjusted' page #s.
