ASCII character table (OXP 2002; ME)

Can someone please tell me where to find the file that contains the full set of ASCII character codes? I know that you can get them in Word by INSERT-SYMBOL; but I seem to recal that there is a Windows file that contains them. However, I can't seem to find it with Windows Explorer SEARCH.

A second question, if I may: Since reinstalling OXP without SP-1 my Outlook Send/Receive timer setting isn't working. I went to Outlook TOOLS-OPTIONS-MAIL SETTINGS-SEND/RECEIVE and set the following: All 3 boxes checked for When Outlook is Online and 5 minutes in the timer box;. Both boxes checked for When Outlook is Offline and 25 minutes in the timer box. I have closed and restarted both Outlook and the system but can get messages only by clicking the Send/Receive toolbar button.

I run DSL so I'm always connected.

Any and all help gratefully received and greatly appreciated

    Hi Bob,

You can find the ASCII Character Set in Office 2002 by opening a Visual Basic for Applications Editor (Alt + F11), then search help for "ASCII Character Set". If you have the Visual Basic helpfiles installed with Office, you should see the Character Codes for 0-127 and 128-255.
