what is TUKA support system tray

Does anyone know what TUKA support system tray is?

It has suddenly appeared at bootup in the taskbar. The only way I can progress is to run Task Manager and stop it whatever it is.

    Antivirus etc. show no problems.

    Help!

"Tukatech is the garment and apparel industry's leading provider of fashion technology solutions." apparently. They flog design software to the fashion industry. Have you installed new software recently.

    Thank you.

The only software I installed was after the TUKA whatsit arrived. They were Super AntiSpyware and Reason Core Security, both free and both used simply to see if they would pick up anything about TUKA. Both were later deleted using CCleaner.

By the way I have no connection whatever to the garment industry.

The offending item appears in the system tray only intermittently. For example, it did so yesterday but not today. Who knows what tomorrow might bring!

Download AdwCleaner which is specifically designed for PuPs/Adware.

    http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/adwcleaner.html

During the Scan process it may list items in the lower window it considers PuPs - you can uncheck any of these if you want to keep or are unsure what they are and clicking on the Logfile when the scan is complete, will show you what else it has found and will delete when you close the Logfile and click on Cleaning.

Thank you. I had already used AdwCleaner with no result.

The offending item has now not appeared for two days. Perhaps that is the end of it (??). If it appears again I will inform you.

I am happy to continue receiving any suggestions.

    Thanks again,

Have you tried looking in "Programs and Features" for it to uninstall it?

The name TUKA is also associated with a virus but if you aren't experiencing any of http://pc-remover.com/post/Delete-Tr...14_249101.html then it probably isn't it, but as a safeguard you could also run the ESET Free Online Scan in Safe Mode with Networking.

    https://www.eset.com/us/online-scanner/

Check the PuPs and PuMs boxes then Advanced and the boxes in there.

    Thank you.
I had looked there and it doesn't show up.

I am now on my third day without its appearance, and hope it might have just gone forever. Hope springs eternal...

    Thanks again

Thank you. I had found the reference to a virus but I have not had any of the problems that seem to be associated with it as a virus. None of the (now many) scanners I've tried pick it up.

As I said in response to a previous post it has now not appeared for three days, so perhaps something I have done has fixed it, unlikely as that is.

I always feel uneasy with mysteries of this sort, but I'll keep my fingers crossed

    Thanks again
