    Open Multiple FIles (Word 97)

How can I open all files in a directory? I want to make a survey of parts of their contents (table) in a new document. If any suggestions on how to do so, thanks in advance!

Anne, in Explorer or MyComputer, select all of the files that you want to open, right-click on one of the selected files and select open. If you wanted a macro, just reply back and we can do that also. HTH --Sam

To open multiple documents out of one directory in Word, simply go to file open and select all files you want opened. (You may select multiple files either using the CTRL or the SHIFT key: SHIFT for multiple files in a row, CTRL to select single files.)
