    Build 14393.321 (KB3194798)

About an hour ago Win10 prompted me to restart. When I checked WU I found that "Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB3194798)" had downloaded and Win10 needed a restart to apply the update.

After the restart winver now reports "Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.321)"; previously "Version 1607 (OS Build 14393.222)".

This is my main Win10 Pro x64 desktop PC, specs in my signature below.
Computer Consultant/Technician since 1998 (first PC was Atari 1040STE in 1988).
Most common computing error is EBKAC: Error Between Keyboard And Chairback
    AMD FX8120 (8-core @ 3.1GHz) CPU, Gigabyte GA-990FXA-D3 motherboard, 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 1866MHz RAM, ATI-AMD Radeon HD6770 PCI-E VGA, 480GB Kingston SSD, 2TB Seagate SATA3.0 HDD, ASUS DVD/RW.

Yes, I got that one along with others last night, although on one machine before I got the rest, there was an error message that it had failed.

When I clicked on the blue fail date I got a pop up with a link for more info and another which took me to the MS Update Catalog where I downloaded the x64 bit one.

After it had downloaded, I went back to Settings to see it was included in the list to download which then went onto install okay.

One thing that puzzles me is that the update catalog asks you where you want to download it to - I opted for Docs where I was prompted to create a new folder for it, where it still sits at 798,425 KB.

My tablet, which is on the release preview level of the Insider Program, just picked this up as well.

It wasn't there at 1740 last night when the last update check was done.

If it's on the Insider program I would have thought that it would have been well ahead of the 14393 version.

My (non-Insider) Windows 10 computers received OS Build 14393.321 just before 19:30 UTC on Tuesday.

I'm not sure if I have a couple of problems since KB3194798.

One machine when creating a Windows System Image froze after a couple of inches of the green progress bar and while I haven't checked this by restoring with an image I created before the update, in Services on both of my upgraded to Win 10 laptops I have CDPUserSvc_208a2 Failed to Read Description Error Code 15100

As for the one with the frozen system image creation, I checked Event Viewer for CAPI2 Event ID 513 which has caused that problem for me in the past, but didn't have it this time.

I've run the fix for that anyway and am waiting to see how a new attempt progresses.

I'll restore both laptops to pre-KB3194798 tomorrow and see if that service is still showing that error and if the system image still freezes if this new attempt also does it.

It's heading towards 4.5cm at the moment but I'll monitor its progress.

@ Brownie - from that pic it looks like you are just being invited to join the Insider preview and that it is otherwise on the main 14393 release.

Oh - I wouldn't pay 4k for a monitor - will have to make do with my 15.6" laptop screen

The Win10 system in my #1 post is not "Insider Preview"; it was upgraded from Win7 Pro x64 about mid-July this year.

My Win10 Insider Preview desktop PC (fast ring) upgraded to build 14942.1000 on 9 October 2016.

Just an update on my Post #7

The system image did complete eventually but was a lot slower than it should have been - in excess of 2˝hrs - I left it and went to bed

While Event Viewer hadn't recorded a CAPI2 Event ID 513, running the fix seemed to have resolved the freeze of a sort.

A Google on that CDPUserSvc found that others had noticed that after the AU and it's still present on this machine after restoring it back to before this latest update.

After the updates have reinstalled, I'll try another system image to see if I get the same problem.
