    Recovery Windows 10

If I did the free upgrade on my Win 7 Home premium to Win 10 home premium about 7 months ago, is the "D" recovery partition changed to windows 10 ? I have an HP Pavillion 6000 series PC. And if it is not, changed to Win 10 and the PC recovers back to Win 7, do I have to pay to get Win 10 back ?

    Thanks for any help

    No
My HP ProBook has the Recovery partition and the Tools partition which will take it back to the original factory Win 7 Pro if used. I called HP support about getting rid of the partitions and was told that it is advisable to leave them there in case things go south with W10.
    Hope this helps.

"do I have to pay to get Win 10 back?"

The key is stored in your MS account, so you can reinstall W10 as many times as you want - or you could save yourself some future trouble and either image or clone your hard drive.
