Question Setting up a new computer w/SSD and sshd

I'm a home video hobbiest and wanted to set up my new windows computer w/2 drives. 1. SSD for the OS (Win 10-64) and all graphics programs. All other programs and documents will reside on the SSHD.
Do I have to make any special settings (e.g. bios) to my new computer to do this?

You don't need to do anything special, all Windows versions from 7 onward will work with your SSD.
What you should check is that you connect the SSD to the first SATA connector and the other disk to the second, then Windows will get the disks in the correct order and should default to installing on the SSD.

    cheers, Paul

Thanks Paul. I'm pretty sure the program installation prompts will get me to the SSHD for other programs.

I would install programs to the SSD and use the other disk for data, that way you can create a backup of the system and restore easily without messing with the data disk.

    cheers, Paul
