    Changing desktop icons

Every time I try to change an icon for a program shortcut on the deskcut it asks for admin approval. Is there a way to bypass this or assign appropriate permissions?

    1. In Cortana's text entry dialog type UAC.
    2. Click on Change User Account Settings when it appears in the search list.
    3. The UAC slider should be set to its default. Slide the slider down to relax notifications.
    4. Click on the OK button to confirm the setting and dismiss the UAC dialog.
    5. Click on the Yes button to confirm the change.
    6. Restart for the new settings to take affect.

    Hope this helps...
