    Hi,
Depending on exactly what you're doing, you may find that Data Validation is the easiest method of accomplishing this. In Excel's Help menu, enter "Data validation" into the Answer Wizard tab, then choose "Specify the valid entries for cells" from the list of options and then select "Restrict cell entries to the data from a list" from the right hand pane. This gives a pretty good description of how to set up what you need.
If you need any more help, just repost.
    Hope that helps.

    Yes you can.

    - type the list in an out-of-the-way column
    - select the cells you want to be able to choose from that list
    - choose data, Validation, select List from the "Allow" dropdown
    - click in the "Source" box and navigate to your list
    - OK
