Commercial DVD Ripper free until 2016-Dec-06

    https://www.winxdvd.com/giveaway/holiday-offer.htm

This is WinX DVD Ripper Platinum from Digiarty, which has had a good reputation for years. They do this giveaway every year afaik.

You download a ~35MB ZIP file which contains 2 files--the setup EXE, and a TXT with the reg code. You need to install and register before December 6th, worked as expected for me.

I normally do not do commercials, however, for anyone serious about making archives of purchased DVDs, making MP3s/MP$s off of audio and video CD/DVDs respectively, a far better, a far more long-reaching deal is:

    https://www.winxdvd.com/giveaway/holiday-offer.htm#pack
1 x WinX 2016 Thanksgiving Gift Pack for 3 PCs, Total price: $39.95.
WinX 2016 Thanksgiving Gift Pack for 3 PCs (WinX_Thanksgiving_Gift_Pack_SN_5_PC)
WinX DVD Ripper Platinum; WinX DVD Copy Pro
    WinX HD Video Converter Deluxe
    Extras included:
    Zemana AntMalware and something else.

Reason for posting the above: Over the years, I have used both an old older set, a newer old set -- both sets have their pluses; I have successfully make archive copies, working copies, MP3s, MP4s off of CD/DVDs respectively.

Although free is good! -- the Thanksgiving deal will provide many many features and lots of benefits for years to come.

It's not my name, but an old Irish mythological god/warrior, pronounced "Loo" or Lou, like Lou Reed

I have excellent results with Handbrake for archiving DVD's and a combination of MakeMKV and Handbrake for archiving BluRay's. Both are free (although MakeMKV seems to be in a perpetual beta).
