    Event Viewer.

    Advice please.
In my Event Viewer, under Overview and Summary, Log Summary, there's an entry
for Lenovo Customer Feedback. Do I need this, or how can I remove it?
    I don't have anything Lenovo.
    Thanks.

I don't know how it got onto your computer unless your computer vendor is a subsidiary of Lenovo and is using that software.

Found this article on that Feedback - http://www.computerworld.com/article...ng-lenovo.html and the TaskSchedulerView it links as perhaps being able to find it and kill it is -

    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/task_scheduler_view.html

Can you post a snip of what you are seeing in Event Viewer ?

    Hi Sudo,
I think this was on my PC from Windows 7 days, just never bothered with it.
    Now wondering what it is.
    Shows under Log Summary.

I remember getting a Windows Update in my Win 7 days that related to Lenovo - can't remember what is was for now, but I hid it as it didn't apply to my Toshiba.

I think as it's enabled, I'd use that program to kill it - we have enough spying with MS without giving feedback to strangers.

From that article I'd linked, you may not be able to find it in a normal Task Scheduler.

Found Lenovo in Task Scheduler and deleted it, but still appears in the Log Summary
    in Event Viewer.
If I run Search Everything I receive a host of stuff as per attachment.

What model is yours - it looks like you are using a Lenovo from that list

Is there anything in Services, Task Manager/Startup/Processes or Programs and Features ?

What is the origin of your machine ?

Did it come new with Win 7 preinstalled or was it built for you with perhaps an OEM install.

Right click on This PC - select Properties and it will give the vendor's name.

This was built by some guy quite a few years ago and had Windows XP installed. I discovered that XP
was not genuine so I purchased Windows 7 Pro and installed that.

And was that a retail copy ?

Have you checked the areas I've suggested ?

I can find nothing in Services, Task Manager/Startup/Processes or Programs and Features.
The Windows 7 was retail OEM System Builder Pack, purchased from a PC shop.

You could go to Services - and either click on DHCP Client then on Stop in the upper left pane or right click on it - select Properties to use the dropdown to change its status to Disabled - Stop - Apply - OK and then change it back after the delete.

While MS supplied OEM System Builder packs, so do computer manufacturers and for you to have that much Lenovo stuff on your computer, would seem that your pack is Lenovo based.

Sudo, still does not delete. Message open in Event log, whatever that means.
