    restore default button appearance

a user has managed to change the appearance of all the buttons in windows... the the X (close) is a square, the minimize looks like a folder, maximize, looks like an open folder, right arrows, appear as mice, check boxes have all been replaced with an unidentifiable design... scroll bar buttons (down/up arrows) look like hourglasses... and for the life of me i cannot find the setting to change it back... This occurred after the user loaded new fonts onto the workstation...

If you have any suggestion on how to restore the default of which setting is responsible for this... please pass it along... Thank you... Jenn

    Re: restore default button appearance

I think this problem relates to fonts.

    See if this post <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.wopr.com/cgi-bin/w3t/showflat.pl?Cat=&Board=95&Number=84073&page=&view= &sb=&o=&vc=1>here</A> helps.

I would guess that either a font has been deleted or got corrupt.

I just remembered one other thing to check, prompted by your comment 'loaded new fonts'.....
