Multiple Id on one ISP acct (2000)

    Hi all,

I've got what one would think is a simple item, but for the life of me I can't think of a simple way of doing it.

I've got 2 id's on an ISP acct. I've set up an OL2k profile to handle mail from both accts. I have rules set up that put the mail into individual folders based on what acct they came in on. All well and good so far.

I know that if I reply to a message it goes out from that acct. However I can't figure out an easy way to specify what acct. the e-mail is coming from. I know I can set up another Profile for the 2nd ID, but I really don't want to. I already have 3 profiles that I use multiple times a day. If I can get it down to two it would be great.

I know I can set the message options so any replies to that message go to whatever e-mail address I want, but I can't figure out how to tell OL that I want this new message to come from this addr, and this message to come from that addr.

Has anyone done this before? If so how?

    TIA

    Craig

As I recall you can't do this in OL2K. It is an OLXP feature, though. (I'd love to have someone show us different because I have several OL2K users who want to do this too.)

Are you using Corp or IMO mode? See Help > about.

it sounds like Corp and with corp, your options are limited. IMO has "send using" where you choose the account you send from.

Corp. Only because I have an Exchange server that I hook up to for my company E-mail.

<SIGH> Maybe I should go with OLE for my Internet E-mail. But I hate the idea of having to switch Identities each time.

In IMO, there's a drop down list next to the Send button that allows me to choose the account.
