    I specified the below in my reports onOpen event & yet I get the error I

    The WhereCondition argument has to be a string. Try this:

    <pre>DoCmd.ApplyFilter, "[PromotionType]='" & Forms!frmTest!cboType & "'"</pre>


    This assumes that PromotionType is a text field. If it's numeric, take out the single quote delimiters.
