    How do I get Outlook 98? (Outlook 97 sr-1)

How do I get Outlook 98 back?

    I had a stable install of Office 97 sr1 (with Outlook 98)
When Excel started issuing errors and refusing to save new docs, I decided that a reinstall was in order.

I saved off my custom templates and saves all my email in a pst file. Then I removed and re-installed Office 97 sr1 (from the original CD) .

My problem is that Outlook 97 refuses to recognise my pst file (with all my email, etc) and I can't figure out how to upgrade Outlook 97 to Outlook 98. MS website is no help at all.

    Help!?

This was a down load from MS and a few books had a CD with it on it. You might check with a local computer club to see if any one has a copy, I still have mine (i am in the greater Seattle area). Or you might check out the used book stores and see if there might be a copy there. Also check the different download centers at the different computer magazine site.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Hi,
I have just installed Outlook 98 (full version) from a June 1998 CD-ROM cover disk that came with a UK magazine called PC Pro. This installed perfectly over Outlook 97 (which came with my copy of Office 97 Pro). I had made some backups 'just in case', but had no problems. The CD Helpline for PC-Pro is +44 (0)8701 711483. or email pc_pro@interchange.co.uk.

Hope this is of some use.

    Howard
