Re: .wrl files

Double clicking on the file works for me, what happens when you do that? .WRI files are Wordpad files, try starting Wordpad and see if you can open it whit File/Open.

I can't find anything with that extension on any of our systems here.
Do you know what app is creating them, or do they show up in Explorer/Options/File Types ?

Re: .wrl files

All I know is that they are VRML files which is some kind of language for creating 3D image files. I don't have any applications associated with it and don't know how they were created. I guess it's not really an Office query after all...

Open Notepad then drag one of the .wrl files into it from Explorer. You might just see something there.

Otherwise, a search with Google for "wrl" threw up this site here. I can't spot anything immediately but it does have several pages covering imaging and might give you some clues.

Thanks they were interesting sites. Unfortunately I now know everything there is to know about VRML except how to view it!

Re: .wrl files

I have no idea where they came from but I have .wrl files (kind of cool actually ) and they fire up in IE through a plugin from Cosmo
