EnterNet 300

Does anyone have a suggestion for a replacement for EnterNet 300? That's what my DSL ISP, Pacific Bell, supplied. I suspect there may be better ways to go.

If I'm stuck with it, are there any ways to speed it up?

This is a PPPoE connection on Win 98 SE; 450 MHz P II, 256 MB of RAM.

Thanks,
Pete

Has this card given you a reason to suspect there is a better card out there? If it's doing what it's supposed to I would focus on driver support. Support in general. Does the manufacturer have information posted about drivers and other support issues? Not that you will ever need them. These things always work. Driver updates are the single best way to make sure you are getting what you are looking for. There are also cable and DSL tweaks that make a big difference for a lot of people in terms of speed.

I've used several brands without any significant difference. You'll hear 3com a lot, NetGear is another. Intel and many other folks manufacture them too. Now that I have probably started a brand war by naming manufacturers I will out of this quickly...

Oops, sorry. It's not a card, it's software. Came on the install CD from PacBell.
