    AutoText Delete (Word 97SR2)

    I want to delete ALL of the MS autotext entries (Best Regards, Best wishes, etc. -- the whole lot of 'em) and never see them again. Is this possible?

    Everytime I have tried to delete them, upon restarting Word they show up again.

    They are saved within the templates (normal.dot) are you allowing it to be up dated after deleting these entries?

    Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.

    Dave,

    You got me thinking... that word "allowing". Sure enough, I was a bit aggressive with the don't save changes stuff (trying to prevent annoying exit messages).

    The offending line was

    Application.Quit savechanges:=wdDoNotSaveChanges

    in my FileExit sub.

    Thanks for pointing my brain in the right direction.
