    16bit vs. 32bit (PPT 97 SR-1)

Can anyone tell me if the formatting of a PowerPoint slide created on a 32bit system (Windows 98) will be affected when that file is displayed and/or printed on a 16bit system (Windows 95a). I created a program handout, for a show that my son is doing in school, here at home and sent it to school on a floppy for his teachers to print the 100+ copies they need for the show. But the image displays and prints incorrectly on their computer. The bottom and right edge of the image display off the slide and are cut off in the printout. Any ideas ???
    Thanks!!

I've run into a similar problem when taking presentation betwen desktops and laptop systems. I've always assumed printer drivers were the issue.

I've moved the file here at home between 3 desktops with 3 different printers with no problems. The only real variable seems to be the 16bit OS on their systems. Also, can't imagine that the printer drivers would affect the way the file displays on screen.

You are right of course, about display. I think the differences in display I've encountered have been due to laptop/projector issues. But it does seem to be a common scenario.

I don't have any really useful info about the 16bit vs 32bit problem. Only the comment that it doesn't surprise me <img src=/S/scratch.gif border=0 alt=scratch width=25 height=29>. (Presenters learn to be paranoid about testing these kind of things). Perhaps someone else will jump in with a suggestion.

    Cheers

Thanks for taking the time. When it comes to MS products very little surprises me anymore !!! I'm open to suggestions on this one. I'd really rather not have to print this job for the teachers. <img src=/S/crazy.gif border=0 alt=crazy width=15 height=15>

    According to
<A target="_blank" HREF=http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q180056>PPT97: How to Obtain the PowerPoint Viewer for 16-Bit Systems (Q180056)</A>
you should be using a 32-bit viewer on W95

Thanks Leif. I was pretty sure it was an issue with the architecture.
