    Win 2K Disk Checking

    I run a dual boot system win98/win2K Pro. I have 2 questions.

1)The win2K drive is still in FAT 32. I will convert to NTFS over the weekend. Almost every time I log into win2K. The It goes checks the drive for consistency. It doesn't take very long, but I wondered what causes Windows to do that?

2)When I close windows I generally get a message that "SdcScheculer cannot close" What is this?

    Much Thanks

    Re: Win 2K Disk Checking

This might happen if you installed both OS'es to the same partition and run certain disk utilities.

I've also heard of it happening on dual boot systems which use either seperate partitions or seperate drives and a disk utility installed for Win9x is accidentally run for the Win2k FAT32 partition.

    Can't day about #2, though.
