Text copied from Word to Outlook is a picture (2000 SR-1)

When copying and pasting text from Word to an email message using Ctrl-C and Ctrl-V, it is pasted as a picture rather than as text. I can get it to paste as text using the Paste | Special function on the menu. Is there any way to have Paste always insert as text instead?

Word 97 and Outlook 98 did not seem to function this way and this new way keeps messing me up. Any thoughts?

    Hi,
I have presumed that if you CTL-C and CTL-V between two different word documents it is OK. If so I suspect an Outlook options setting. I quickly did a test with my 2000 versions, and the text pasted OK. I changed the mail format to HTML, RTF and plain text, but these were also OK.
Ran out of time but will see if I can replicate the problem later

I did not have any success in replicating the problem, but came across this article that may help
