    #name on report (97-2)

I have an unbound control on a form. The user enters a date here. There is a button on the form which prints a report. The report references the date from the form and prints it at the top. On page one of the report the data prints fine, if the report goes to two pages the second page prints #name in the date control. Help!! I am out of ideas.

    Thanks <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>

Is your first page control in the report header and the second and subsequent ones in the page header? Only reason that immediately comes to mind. Otherwise I'm out of ideas too.

The date is in the page header of the report. It is only a one page report that prints two pages when there is more data than can be printed on one page.

I'll bet you close your form in your button click event just after opening the report. Then the reference to the date on your form will be invalid once you get to page 2 on your report.

Try putting a control that references the form in the report header. Set its forecolor to white and its backcolor and bordercolor to white and make it 0" height so it doesn't actually show up on the report. Make the control in the page header take its value from the one in the report header.
